TAS 100 General Technical Actuarial Standards and Technical Actuarial Guidance
Introduction
TAS 100 contains the requirements that apply to all technical actuarial work within the geographic scope. It must be applied by all members of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). Wider adoption is encouraged and other relevant regulators and contracting parties may require entities and individuals who are not members of the IFoA to comply with TAS 100.
The associated technical actuarial guidance contains guidance on complying with TAS 100 Principle 5 Models, applying proportionality when complying with the requirements of the TASs, and determining whether a piece of work should be classified as technical actuarial work and falls within the geographic scope of the TASs.
