Commenting on Roger Marshall’s appointment, FRC Chairman Baroness Hogg said:

“Roger brings with him an enormous wealth of professional expertise and a keen interest in technical accounting issues that will be valuable to the Accounting Standards Board at this important time in the evolution of national and global standards.

“Roger’s experience of working on transatlantic business issues brings an international outlook that is essential as the world of accounting seeks to put in place a common financial language across markets to communicate information that is valued by investors”.

Roger Marshall will take up his role as interim ASB chairman with immediate effect. A further announcement will be made in due course about a permanent appointment.
