FRC welcomes Glen Moreno as new Deputy Chairman

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) today welcomes Glen Moreno as its new Deputy Chairman. Mr Moreno is Chairman of Pearson and a Non-Executive Director of Lloyds Banking Group and Fidelity International.
The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, announced the appointment earlier today.
Commenting on the appointment, FRC Chairman Baroness Hogg said,
“Glen Moreno brings a wealth of global business expertise to the FRC. His knowledge of market regulation and international business practice spanning the US, continental Europe and South East Asia will be of enormous value to us. As a current FTSE 100 company chairman Glen brings a fresh perspective to our work on corporate governance and investor engagement.
“It is a mark of the FRC’s strong reputation within the business community that we have attracted someone of Glen’s calibre and I very much look forward to working with him”.
