The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) today announces the appointment of 13 new members of the Financial Reporting Review Panel (FRRP).

The appointments took effect from 1 June 2011.
The new appointments:
Graeme Dacomb is a Partner at Ernst & Young LLP.
Mary Dolson is a member of Pricewaterhousecooper's Accounting Consulting Services IFRS Central Team, located in London.
Stephen Edlmann is a Consultant at Ashurst LLP.
Margaret Ewing is Managing Partner, Public Policy, Quality and Risk and London Practice Senior Partner, Deloitte LLP.
Vanessa Knapp, OBE is a Principal Consultant at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
Iain Lowson is Head of Audit Quality at BDO LLP.
Andrew McIntyre is a Partner at Ernst & Young LLP.
Brendan Nelson is a Non-Executive Director of Royal Bank of Scotland and BP plc. He chairs the Audit Committee of both companies.
Mary Tokar is Global Leader - Standard Setters and Regulatory Liaison, KPMG’s International Standards Group.
Alan Trotter is Group Finance Director of Alliance Trust PLC, a FTSE 250 company. He is also member of the Technical Committee of the Association of Investment Companies and the Hundred Group of Finance Directors.
John Worby is Group Finance Director of Genus plc, a FTSE 250 company.
Richard Wilson is a Partner at Ernst & Young LLP.
Ian Wright is a recently retired Deputy Chair of the Panel and Director of Corporate Reporting at the FRC.

- The Financial Reporting Council is the UK’s independent regulator responsible for promoting high quality corporate governance and reporting to foster investment.
- The role of the Financial Reporting Review Panel is to examine the annual accounts and directors’ reports of public and large private companies to see whether they comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 including applicable accounting standards. Following implementation of the Accounting Regulation (EC) No 1606/2002, this may mean compliance with UK or International Financial Reporting Standards.
- The Chairman of the Panel is Bill Knight and the Deputy Chairmen, David Lindsell and Joanna Osborne. The new members announced today bring the total number of Panel members to 37 drawn from a broad spectrum of commerce and the professions. Individual cases are normally dealt with by specially constituted Groups of 5 or more members.
