APB Publishes Compendium of Standards and Guidance 2012

The Auditing Practices Board (APB) of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has published its compendium of “Standards and Guidance 2012”.

The compendium includes the amendments to the Ethical Standards for Auditors that were issued in December 2011 and the revised Standard for Investment Reporting (SIR) 2000, Investment Reporting Standards Applicable to Public Reporting Engagements on Historical Financial Information, issued in March 2011.
In addition, the references in the International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) (UK and Ireland) to the International Federation of Accountants’ Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (the IFAC Code) have been amended to recognise that that Code is now known as the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants’ Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (the IESBA Code). Corresponding changes have been made to the individual standards on the APB’s website.
