FRC appoints Gay Huey Evans to the FRC Board

FRC PN 357 The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) today announces the appointment of Gay Huey Evans to the FRC Board as of 1 April 2012. Commenting on the appointment, FRC Chairman Baroness Hogg said,
“Gay brings to the FRC Board a wide knowledge of international Capital markets and their regulation, and will bring highly valuable insights to the FRC Board.”

- The Financial Reporting Council is the UK’s independent regulator for promoting high quality corporate governance and reporting to foster investment.
- Gay was appointed to the board of Aviva plc in October 2011. She currently serves a non-executive director of The London Stock Exchange Group plc and Clariden Leu (Europe) Ltd. A trustee of Wellbeing of Women (UK) (charity) and The Wigmore Hall Trust (charity), she has previously served as vice chairman of the board and non-executive chairman, Europe of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc (ISDA) (financial trade association).
- She was formerly vice chairman, Investment Banking & Investment Management, at Barclays Capital from April 2008 to October 2010. Prior to that Gay was head of governance, Citi Alternative Investments (EMEA) and director of the markets division at the Financial Services Authority. She has also held various senior management positions with Bankers Trust Company in New York and London.
