FRC comments on publication of Investment Association Stewardship Code Survey

Commenting on today’s publication of the Investment Association’s fifth report on adherence to the FRC’s Stewardship Code, Executive Director of Codes and Standards, Melanie McLaren said:
"Investor engagement is imperative to the success of the Stewardship Code and to fostering investment in the future. The Investment Association survey gives us valuable insight as to the improving quantity and quality of investor engagement; purposeful dialogue and constructive discussion over the longer term to build trust. The FRC looks forward to responding to the challenges that remain by increasing our scrutiny of adherence to the Code in order to further improve the quality of practice and reporting”
