Disciplinary Tribunal hearing of a Formal Complaint under the Accountancy Scheme in respect of Deloitte LLP and ICAEW members Richard Knights and Nigel Mercer concerning Autonomy Corporation plc
A hearing of the Disciplinary Tribunal of the Financial Reporting Council ("FRC") will commence on Thursday 10 October 2019 at 10.30 am to consider a Formal Complaint against (1) Deloitte LLP, a member firm of the ICAEW, (2) Richard Knights, a partner in Deloitte LLP and ICAEW member, and (3) Nigel Mercer, a partner in Deloitte LLP and ICAEW member.
The hearing venue is: The International Dispute Resolution Centre Limited, 70 Fleet Street, London EC4Y 1EU.
The Formal Complaint concerns the conduct of Deloitte LLP, Mr Knights and Mr Mercer in relation to the audit of the financial statements for Autonomy Corporation plc for the financial years ended 31 December 2009 and 2010, and in relation to the review of the financial results for Autonomy Corporation plc for the periods ended 30 September 2009, 31 March 2010, 30 June 2010, 30 September 2010, 31 March 2011 and 30 June 2011.
It is alleged that the conduct of Deloitte LLP, Richard Knights and Nigel Mercer fell significantly short of the standards reasonably to be expected of a member or member firm of the ICAEW.
The hearing relates to the investigation notified in FRC Notice PN 037 of 11 February 2013.
