A reminder that the FRC will be hosting two topical webinars this week which will be of interest to a wide range of stakeholders.
UK Corporate Governance Code Consultation
When: Tuesday 25 July, 13:00-14:00 (BST)
The FRC will be updating stakeholders on what we’ve heard so far from the ongoing consultation on the UK Corporate Governance Code.
The FRC has also published a new In Conversation podcast where Kate O’Neill discusses with Maureen Beresford early feedback on a range of popular topics so far, such as internal controls, over-boarding, reporting on outcomes, and sustainability reporting.
To help inform the consultation process, the FRC has published three one pagers on hot topics that stakeholders have been particularly interested in.
New Corporate Reporting Requirements
When: Thursday 27 July, 11:00-12:00 (BST)
Colleagues from the FRC will outline key takeaways from the Government’s recently published Statutory Instrument (SI) on corporate reporting and the role the FRC will be playing to promote high-quality corporate reporting in the UK.
To gain stakeholder views on the new corporate reporting requirements, the FRC will be hosting four roundtables throughout September. These roundtables will cover the FRC’s role in relation to the new reporting requirements and detail key elements of the SI, including:
- Resilience Statement
- Audit and Assurance Policy
- Material Fraud Statement
- Distributions Policy Statement
- Distributable profits disclosure requirements
